Directions: You are required and encouraged to read five books each trimester in fifth grade. In an effort to build a reading community, we have created a blog for you to discuss and learn from other fellow reading enthusiasts your age.
Step 1: Pick a book to read from our approved independent reading list or recommended by a friend, librarian, teacher or friend.
Step 2: Complete one blog entry for each book.
Step 3: Choose from one of the 20 opportunities to post a comment to. Go to the comments section below each choice. Click on comments or no comments and post a reply. Your reply should start by restating the questions as directed in the prompt. Please answer with 4-5 sentences. Edit and hit post!
Step 4: For each comment you post, you must also reply at least once to another classmate. You may go to their comments and hit reply below a comment that fascinates you. You may agree or disagree with them. If you agree, explain why. If you disagree then explain why as well. Or, you may just have a comment to reply with that you thought of after reading their post.
Step 5: Repeat this process for all five books. THis means you will have a total of five posted comments and five replied comments to your peers posts.
Step 6: Have fun!
