  1. Could your story take place in Cleveland or another nearby suburb, or is the setting (time and place) of your book definite and not similar to Cleveland?  Explain.

  1. Harry Potter could not take place in Cleveland because there is so many creatures and people where Harry Potter is based, and Cleveland would not be a big enough city to hold all those creatures and humans. Also, it is very unprotected, so a bad wizard could come at any time and no one would be there to defend anyone.

  2. It could take place in Cleveland. Cleveland is a suburban town and is pretty busy and bustling, like Boston. We also have a place for an island that only rises on the full moon, Lake Erie. The island of Lyngvi could really fit into the Great Lake, if not for the other islands and also the algae taking our Lake Erie.

  3. I read Dork Diaries tales From a not so talented pop-star. It could take place in Cleveland because it snows in the town she's in. Also it never tells you the city so it could possibly be in Cleveland because well... CLEVELAND ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

  4. Great job Hannah!!! I agree with you that if it didn't say where it took place it could possibly be in Cleveland or a suburb near by. I also agree that the city of Cleveland, Ohio Rocks!!!

  5. The Magic Thief could not happen in Cleveland because, by the 2nd book, there have been castles, exploding mansions, and a desert filled with mines. That could NEVER happen here! It also takes place on a peninsula, and Ohio is not a peninsula. I don't want this book happening in Cleveland because I don't like the idea of things that turn people to stone and who's blood burns like acid that are made by magic that might be alive.
